The world is a big place full of big ideas. We seek out current trends in farming, food and culture and do our best to bring thought leaders from near and far together to help grow connections within our community through workshops and conferences.

In 2018, we brought farmer, educator, and best-selling author Jean-Martin Fortier to Seattle for Market Gardening 2.0 at 21 Acres , and hosted Love Our Land: a one day summit about land use in King County. Check back in spring 2019 for more!

Field Trips
Kids love the farm and we love kids! We design farm field trips for any demographic - whether it’s a local kindergarten class, high schoolers, Boy and Girl Scouts, Tiny Tots, or kids at heart.

A typical experience starts with a farm tour, then an activity or two to get hands in the dirt, learn how to harvest, and taste food fresh from the ground, followed by farm snacks in our picnic area. We highlight our connection to the land, being in nature, farm work, how food grows, what food tastes like when it’s fresh, and how to enjoy the fruits of our own labor.

Field trips are an opportunity to interact with nature and escape day to day patterns that often involve lots of sedentary time indoors consuming processed food. Offered May to November.
